The United States Green Building Council (www.usgbc.org)
Founded in 1993, the USGBC is a coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. The USGBC has over 6,000 members, and provides research, programs and advocacy to transform the building industry towards sustainability. The USGBC developed and manages the LEED Green Building Rating System. There are over 50 USGBC chapters throughout the United States. Siemens Building Technologies is a member of the USBGC.

ENERGY STAR for Buildings (www.energystar.gov)
Established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the ENERGY STAR for Buildings program provides an independent energy performance rating for individual buildings.Buildings with an ENERGY STAR rating of 75 or better are awarded the ENERGY STAR Label. Siemens Building Technologies is an ENERGY STAR Partner.

BuildingGreen (www.buildinggreen.com)
A subscription-based online resource offering comprehensive information from articles to product listings to project case studies.

Whole Building Design Guide (www.wbdg.org)
The WBDG, managed by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), is a web-based portal providing government and industry practitioners with one-stop access to information on a wide range of building-related guidance, criteria and technology from a "whole buildings" perspective. Development of the WBDG is a collaborative effort among federal agencies, private sector companies, non-profit organizations and educational institutions

An environmental and building rating system, developed in Canada, that is a competitive system to the USGBC LEED rating system.

A free, web-based resource to help organizations of all sizes and sectors understand and address building design, construction, and operation in a way that aligns environmental responsibility with business success. The site provides a variety of tools, information and other resources focused on green building.

A free web portal dedicated to sustainable design.

GreenSource (www.construction.com/GreenSource/)
McGraw-Hill Construction's on-line directory of information on sustainable design, practice and products. The site includes information for the architect, engineer, contractor and consumer from GreenSource, Architectural Record, and Engineering News-Record magazines

Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy (www.dsireusa.org)
A comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and selected federal incentives that promote renewable energy. DSIRE also includes incentives for energy efficiency and Green Building

The Dictionary of Sustainable Management (www.sustainabilitydictionary.com)
An open dictionary for business leaders and students focused on sustainability and business-related terms and terminology.

Greenbiz (www.greenbiz.com)
Provides valuable news and resources to large and small businesses through a combination of web sites, news feeds, electronic newsletter and briefing papers
